No more rattle ! – I had a metal license plate frame before and it would rattle whenever I close the trunk and on uneven roads. I tried all types of tricks – extra 3m tapes for insulation and nothing worked. Then some how I found this silicone plate frame and it was $11 so I said why not. Boom… ! Took 5 min to install, definitely use the supplied plastic tool or else you might cut your fingers from the sharp edges of license plates. Results were immediately felt! No more rattle and less road noise from the plates. High quality silicone like the materials from phone cases… if you have the rattle issue like me this will definitely solve the problem !

I didn’t even know these existed – I’m use to the plastic, chrome, or stainless steel frames. The plastic ones always deteriorate if you car is in the sun, and the chrome/stainless steel always end up fading, chipping, or just looking ugly after a while. When I got my LS… I didn’t want to advertise the dealership so starting looking on Amazon to see if they had some with a Lexus emblem. Then I noticed more and more options that indicated silicone. I didn’t even know those existed so I decided to give it a try. I think they look way better than plastic or chrome frames. The other plus is I no longer hear the rattle when the compressor that adjusts the air suspension kicks on. It was driving me crazy and didn’t realize it was the plastic frames the dealer added when I purchased the car. So I can see how these would work for cars with sound systems (I’m not that young anymore). The one thing I would say to be careful with is when you place your plate inside the silicone frame. Take your time and don’t just shove it in there because it will tear.

The only concern I had was water sitting in the bottom lip of the covers, but they have even thought of that. There is a small drain hole in the center of the bottom lip so water will drain out. I’ve had these on for a month or two and no signs of wear, they still look great and I expect them to last as long as my car.

Love!! – Just got a 12in sub put into my Jeep and hated how my license plate sounded when I would have my music on blast you can kinda still here the plate bump agains the car but it’s way less annoying definitely recommend if you have subs in your car.

Stop Advertising Your Car Dealership! – I purchase these silicone license plate frames every time I buy a new car. I do not believe in allowing a car dealership to have free advertising by displaying their name on my license plate frame. These silicone frames are thick and pad the edges of the license plate. They have small drainage holes in the bottoms to allow water to escape and avoid rust. They also prevent rattling of the plate against your car.
