Took some work. Not for heavy mugs. – Did not (hard to) fit. Pads helped. Had to use tape and jury rig it to fit and hold big mug.

I love it when it stays firmly in the car cup holder – Mostly I love this. Sometimes however, it slips out of my cup holder, creating a big mess in my car. If you get this, I recommend spending the time and effort to make sure it is very securely wedged into your car cup holder before using. Also, use caution putting anything heavy (like a full ceramic mug) in the larger expandable part of the holder.

flipped right out of the existing cup holder – Nice idea but didn’t work. I had a drink in both the “anchor” cup holder and the extended portion. Even though the drink in the “anchor” portion was heavier, a slight bump on the extended portion pulled the whole thing out and dumped a drink into my work bag. Fortunately, my laptop wasn’t in my work bag when it happened.

I also found it convenient to hang my mask on one of the upright “wings”. Not useful to me. – I was able to set the cup holder securely in my car’s holder because my car has an insert in the cup holder to use for items that are small for the built-in holder size. So the new cup holder was stable. The upper cup holder that has the expandable sides was functional but the sides didn’t seem tall enough to me to hold taller items securely. And the lower cup holder (the one inserted in the car’s built-in holder) was not usable because it was too narrow for any cup or bottle I’m aware of. It would have made a fine pen/pencil holder, but as that was not what I needed in my car I determined that this item was not really functional for me, so I’m sending it back for a refund. I will look for a different design. I hope.
