Importantly, this camera (and others I’ve looked at) all require a separate add-on kit for “sentry mode” – i.e. having the camera monitor your car while you’re away from it. The add-on kit is needed to tie into the car’s power system for access to the battery – even when the car is off. This kit is not needed for standard “record when the car is running” usage. (I haven’t yet ordered the add-on kit myself)
