Great variety of sizes for all automotive projects – I never realized how useful these are and how easy to use. Replaced multiple missing ones on my car due to not being replaced when quick serve oil change places take them off. I keep them in my car for when I need to replace some I have missed.

What to do when plastic retainers fail – We have a 2001 Toyota Corolla Sport which is showing its age. Most of the plastic retainers have become brittle and easily snap when trying to remove. Most of the retaining bolts (for splash covers and wheel well splash guards) have rusted and often brake when trying to remove. There are LOTS of fastener kits out there and they are geared for specific vehicle types. Unfortunately there is not a uniform size when it comes to individual auto manufactures. Most of the fasteners I purchased said they were for my 2001 Toyota Corolla Sport, but the sizes I got did not fit where I needed them. Some were appropriate for other areas of the car. In particular I wanted a kit with the pry bars for removing interior panels.

Got the 20x special clips I NEEDED, Ended up using a few others – Got the 20x special clips I NEEDED, Ended up using a few others under the dash etc.. There was indeed 20x of the clip I needed but I had to search through the bin next to it to find the last one. Probably because they didn’t fit. Metal tool is nice, might use the plastic ones for other uses, thinking seal removers.. Anyhow, great deal, WAY better than local stores, clips seems close to OEM Land Rover quality (in my wrench hands), to my door in days at 13$ or whatever, what’s not to love here?

Did What I Needed It To – I bought this kit primarily for the fastener removal tool so I could change out a broken door handle on my car. The plastic tools had a bit of trouble getting into some of the tighter clips but I was able to get everything taken apart in the end thanks to this kit. Fortunately I did not end up needing to use any of the replacement fasteners but I am glad I had them on hand, just in case I screwed something up.

Great clip removal tool!! – I needed a few smaller tabs, but remember you can always drill the plastic to fit a slightly larger retainer. I wish it had a few smaller sizes but its a great kit for the price. I just keep a drill bit in the kit to make sure the smallest retainer will fit .

Nice Assortment and Variety with Useful Removal Tools – I have used the 20mm OD x 10mm ID x 14mm length pin from this kit as a replacement for Honda part no. 91505-TM8-003. It is used to secure the rear portion of the underside protective engine cover on a 2015 Honda Fit (which must be removed to change the engine oil and filter). I used one of the included removal tools to remove the factory Honda pin on one side (I had previously mangled the other pin just to remove the stupid thing). You have to be careful using the included removal tools, but I did get one of them to work by gradually inserting, prying, inserting, prying, etc. Hey, it beat using plyers like I did on the pin I mangled previously.
