Hold s an iPhone 12 with case securely – I purchased this phone holder to use with an iPhone and google maps as a navigation device. I will not have it on the dash at all times so I did not peel off the cover on the bottom holder to stick it on the dash. Instead I cut out a piece of non skid material and set it under the holder. It has held secure under normal driving

Almost 5 stars – This is a great idea! Other reviews mention how sticky the adhesion is for the base, and they’re spot on. The dash on my truck is not real smooth, but it sticks just fine, without any residue.

PERFECT for travel! – I live in a major city and don’t own a car, but planned to rent one while traveling overseas for two weeks. As I would be driving for up to four hours at one point, it was important to have a cell phone holder that was sturdy and reliable. I actually used another model with an arm for that first week of driving, and it worked very well. In fact, I gave that brand a glowing review. HOWEVER…that model worked perfectly because the car I used it with had a flat dashboard. The following week I visited a different location and had to rent a completely different car. Unfortunately that car had a curved dashboard, which rendered the arm-model holder useless. Thank goodness I had this model as a backup, because it came in handy. The adhesive worked very well and I felt confident that it wasn’t going anywhere. I also loved that it didn’t leave any residue upon removal, which was extremely important for returning the rental car.

Convenient and perfect for what I was looking for. – This really works for my needs. I have a little car and didn’t want anything that would contribute to any more blind spots so I wasn’t looking for one that mounted on the windshield. I am able to set this right above my radio on my dashboard. Sticks really well. Phone is in landscape orientation while in use so some may want to be aware of that. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because I have a bit larger of a phone case so occasionally it will pop up but not fall out if that makes sense.

If you like your phone to be horizontal all the time…. – I actually like it, but you always have your phone horizontal, and sometimes you just want it verticle. You can easily pull it off and put it in a different area on your dashboard. I would love it however if the phone would lean back more when you put it on the holder. The top of the phone sits more forward than back. I’ll keep it. My boyfriend loves it, because he watches his football games while I drive! Its like a little tv stand!

Just what I needed – I was looking for a device to hold my phone securely but readily available. It usually sits in the console or cup holder. So this unusual device caught my eye. I was concerned about the adhesion to the dashboard but this puppy really stays put. I’d suggest a clean surface and practice the location placement before peeling off the protective cover and committing to a final location. While I had expected to use the phone in this location for calls or maps while driving, I have those things on the radio anyway. But it is nice to have the phone secure, easy to see, and in charging mode all at the same time. A phone inserts and removes with ease from the holder. The little coin tray is a nice touch but can’t see using it if coins are dislodged by bumps and rain down on drinks. I’d get one for the other car but it would block some gauges on that one. Test a placement location by just your phone (on edge) and figure an additional inch of height to insure road visibility.

I love this phone holder – This phone holder is terrific. I was using one that attached to the air vent and it was always a problem. It would get loose and fall off. I had to adjust it constantly. This new phone holder installed on the top of my dash easily. Since i installed it it hasn’t budged at all. My phone is held securely in landscape mode. I thought i wouldn’t like that but i do. It’s perfect. What a relief. I highly recommend.

Holds larger phones well – Ordered this for a road trip where driving maps were necessary. This worked well to hold my Note phone but not as well for a smaller phone although I believe it was attributable to the case on the phone making it tip forward. I did not use the stick down pad as I do not stick anything to my vehicles, I am sure it would hold the unit perfectly for those who would use the tape. I used a piece of carpet no slip under it and it stayed in place on the dash just fine. I would recommend with the knowledge of the sticky method to attach and if you have a thicker case on your phone it may not stand upright.
