I have just ordered my fourth one… yes they are warranty but my wife didn’t know that and tossed hers in the trash after she broke it accidentally.

REVISED REVIEW. – Followed all instructions. Attached the pad to the dashboard. Waited 48 hours. Connected the arms and suction and all other instructions ( very clear and detailed) attached my phone. Within minutes it all lifted off the dashboard. Will use the small device to attach to vent. Could not return(my decision )this costly device as I felt I had perhaps done something wrong. Seems silly to pay the high price for the small vent attachment.

Better than expected – I ordered this holder after my previous holder which was attaching to windshield (served well for years) broke down. I was bit skeptical that this might not hold well on my Volvo XC 40 dashboard which has textured plastic. I was pleasantly surprised how this holds up so far, the suction cup us bit sticky and attached very well to the surface and connection is sturdy after more than a month of use. Holder is well adjustable and safely holds any type of phone (I have iPhone12 pro). I recommend to put it on when the dashboard is warm as it seems helped the suction cup to attach. I have not tried the vent attachment but it seem to be designed well. Volvo vents are not suitable for this attachment. I think it would be good option for rental cars on travel. I recommend this product, definitely worth the price

My last one lasted for two years, got a free replacement – I adored my first phone mount by this company. I always have the biggest, newest phones with the otterbox protection so most phone mounts won’t support my phones. Well the phone mount outlasted the car and when I went to switch it over to my “new” car, the suction wouldn’t take at all. I contacted the company for more adhesive but they said they would just give me a new phone mount if I’d leave a review. The new phone mount is a different model than my old one and I was skeptical at first since my old one had a long arm and an extra supporting holder. It looked and felt Solid. This one is quite a bit smaller and doesn’t have the supporting arm. Well I’ve used it for two weeks and it appears to be just as reliable as the last model I had. I’ll post an update if it fails. The company holds up its end of the deal on the lifetime warranty. I recommend these guys to everyone.

Almost Perfect – The final ball joint near the phone holder is restricted in turning angle, so depending on where you have to place the holder on your dash, the viewing angle of your screen may be affected. In my case the smoothest surface is on the front of my dash, not the top, so for optimal viewing the angle of the arm creates an angle at the ball joint that the ball joint is not able to equal so the screen is tilted slightly upward. Slots in the grasping portion of the ball joint could fix this problem.
