Works with Alpine iLX-W650 Head Unit – Bought it on a whim just to test and see if it will work with an aftermarket head unit. Needless to say, it actually works very well. My main USB port wasn’t working so I plugged the device directly into the back of the head unit. It’s a bit annoying to connect both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth but I guess that’s how all of the 3rd party devices work.

It actually works really well – I have a 2020 F150 and use CarPlay daily however dislike having to always plug it in to the USB port in the truck. I ordered this adapter and in less than 5 minutes had wireless CarPlay that automatically starts every time I get in the truck with the iPhone. Honestly I cant believe how well it works. The only comment I would make is that the install instructions could be a little better. You pair the bluetooth and ignore the wifi part.

Wirelessly Enjoying My Car – This car play adapter has been such a nice way to not have to be plugged in to use all of the features that car play offers on my car’s stereo. Every time I drive the car I use airplay to either listen to music or navigate to where I need to be but I did not want to constantly have to plug my phone in since I had just gotten a new mag-safe charger. Now that I have this adapter I can use both my new charger and my airplay seamlessly. I like how the device is super small so I was able to plug it and hide it out of the way so it basically takes up no space. The device was also super easy to work I was able to connect to the wifi by using the code in the instructions and connect to Bluetooth and it was ready to connect to car play. The device also came with everything I needed to plug it in with its included USB c to regular USB cable and its USB c to USB c. I also have been able to have passengers hook up wirelessly to airplay and play their music of have then navigate on road trips.

Works great except for 1 annoying AF feature – Connects quickly and flawlessly about 95% of the time. 1 annoying feature is it is always on for some reason. Even when the vehicle is off. So if you get within 20 feet of your car when the car is off… it just connects to this device’s Bluetooth which is essentially dead air at that point. I guess if I unplug this every time I get out of the car it would solve it but if wanted to plug and unplug every time I get in and out why would I buy this? It would be wired CarPlay. Most annoying at home when the car is in garage and the phone keeps trying to connect to it.
